The 2012 Miss Chinese International Pageant will be held in TVB City at Tseung Kwan O this coming Sunday night. Yesterday, the 28 contestants attended a press conference where they met the panel of judges. One of the judges, Myolie Wu stole the limelight in her low-cut apparel. In reaction, Michael Tse unbuttoned his shirt during the photo shoot session.
This year, the general assembly invited Myolie Wu, Michael Tse, Angela Leong, Eleanor Kwok, and Dominic Lam to uphold the responsibilities of selecting the winners. A several of the guest performers include William Chan, Det Dik, Mag Lam, and Jonathan Wong. The 28 contestants appeared in dresses of their own choice and prepared a self-introduction speech. Wide opening her door, Myolie explained, “Let’s not say it that way. I was looking for a natural-looking dress, which is why I chose this piece. (Taking the sexy route?) My body is average. I have no “bombshell”, but a V to offer. The sexy route is not for me to walk.” (Bosco seen your dress up?) She smiled and said no.
Contestants with Pageant Experience, No ”腾鸡“
Having entered the entertainment industry for many years, Myolie Wu revealed that it is her first time as a beauty pageant judge. Speaking of beauty standards, she will definitely look at their appearance and eloquence. She also praised the quality of the contestants this year where many of them came with pageant experiences; therefore, there were no “腾鸡” moments. (Advantage for the contestant with celebrity connections?) Myolie answered the question within a question wondering which contestants would that be. She will judge with fairness and the results will reflect based on their performance. Hong Kong representative Rebecca Zhu (朱晨麗) revealed that the preparation work is almost at its complete. (Rival contestant?) She revealed #25 Maggie Yu from Dalian because she has fair skin and an aura of elegance. (Advantage?) She laughed, “That is, I know you (the reporter).” She later expressed that she has became calmer after the Miss Hong Kong Pageant experience. Also, there are a couple of dance sessions that can play as her strengths.
#18 Susan Su (蘇慧文) appeared in a blue low-cut dress that revealed the right side of her “brown sugar rice pudding”. But luckily, her sash covered it. Carrying a 34C upper body, she was asked whether she felt sexy? She said, “I do not feel sexy, but it is eye-catchy.” She praised the other contestant’s body figures, but it would depend on the evaluation from the judges. #13 Wendy Yu (余文杭) accidentally exposed her undershorts when she sat down for photos. Visiting Hong Kong for the first time, she felt excited because she met new friends and learned new things. (Training from the General Assembly?) She revealed that they are professionals teaching them manners. (Unaware that she exposed herself?) She laughed, “I am sorry, but I did wear undershorts.”

Recently, Rebecca completed filming Laughing Gor 2 with Michael Tse. That said, I wonder if there will be favoritism playing around. After all it’s a competition hosted by TVB, and it would be a lie if I say that there is no bias. But please don’t get me wrong that I doubt Rebecca’s capability of winning the crown.
Prior to the press conference, Michael have also met Kuala Lumpur representatives Emily Yap and Lenna Lim. Emily interviewed him for a Astro On Demand show (I believe) and Lenna presented the My Favorite On Screen Couple Award to Michael at the 2011 My Astro on Demand Favourites Awards Ceremony.
Went-To-The-Wrong-Event Batch
