Recently, the four MCIP titleholders have been busy attending award ceremonies. Yesterday, they ran two functions where they accepted checks and prizes from Chairman Angel Lau in Squina located at Kwun Tong followed by another event at Tsim Sha Tsui.
Champion Kelly Cheung (张曦雯) appeared in a self-selected low-cut dress, which she instantly became the sexiest among the four. (Quality?) She denied, “Pink matches a beauty event. As long as the outcome is pretty. (Bottom line?) The bikini I wore in the final is my bottom line. I will give the prizes to my parents in repay of their support.” Kelly revealed that she would develop her career in Hong Kong. As a newbie, she does not know what type of work is suitable for her, but her personal interest is going towards acting. At the same time, standing five foot nine inches, she is afraid that it will be difficult to find a male co-star. Personally, she prefers men taller than her, but besides appearance, she will take personality into account as well.
Second Runner-Up Lenna Lim (林家冰) is interested in filming, thus assuming that she will make her stay in Hong Kong. In respond to Eric Tsang’s claiming that she is suitable for villain roles, she believes it is a good thing. Lenna said, “High plasticity is a good thing, not bad. It is worth a try. (Trip others?) I am in all honesty to people.”
JEN:
I am not sure if “plasticity” is the correct word.

Yes, looking forward to see Lenna in future TVB series. Hopefully since MCI winners are not obligated to duties like MHK’ers are, she will be soon casted in something juicy.
Kelly is right. Very rare in TVB history were there lead actresses who are as tall as her. I think the tallest is perhaps Myolie Wu who stands at 5’8. Sharon Chan is 5’9, but only a supporting actress, and let me guess, Kelly’s ambitions are higher than that? Koni Lui, Queenie Chu, Oceane Zhu, and Loretta Chow are the tall girls who hailed from the beauty pageants within the last ten years and although Queenie’s acting is well-received upon the audience after Yes Sir, Sorry Sir, she only appears compatible with a few co-stars, with Moses in When Heaven Burns being the most memorable one. Also, they are only limited to wearing flats in most series for they will tower over the guys…
wow myolie is that tall? i know linda chung is also 5’8.
yea it’s common for hk guys to be around 5’8 so it is pretty hard to pair up. sighs.
but i think in this american movie, the female lead is taller than the male lead but the director insisting on keeping this pair so to “give shorter men hope”
maybe tvb will follow this way too
@Dorothy,
I double checked Myolie’s height on Dramawiki and it says she’s only 170 cm, which is shorter than Linda. Sometimes the info there may be wrong/misleading, plus Myolie’s looks taller to be than the average TVB actresses. I was also surprised to learn that Linda was taller than 5’6 and was nearly 5’8.
I still don’t find it attractive to have a taller female and shorter male unless it’s a special case where the couple has amazing chemistry, but that’s rare in TVB dramas.
